Hey folks,
Quick update I’m excited to share — New West Video just got featured on DesignRush’s list of top Calgary video production companies!
Always nice to get a nod from an industry platform like that. Big thanks to the team over there for including us.
But this also got me thinking… why does being local still matter in the video world?
Why Local Just Works
We live in a global, remote-everything kind of world — but when it comes to making great video content, working with someone in your own city can seriously simplify things.
Here’s what I’ve seen over the years:
-
It’s easier to communicate. No juggling time zones or awkward scheduling. You can actually meet in person if needed. Or just grab a coffee and talk through your ideas.
-
We know the local scene. Locations, talent, weather (yup, even Calgary’s wild seasons) — we’ve dealt with it all. That local knowledge saves time and headaches.
-
Faster turnaround. Does something need to change last minute? Not a problem. We’re around the corner, not across the country.
-
Real relationships. You’re not just a client number on a spreadsheet — we get to know you, your business, and what makes your brand tick.
Let’s Keep It Local
At the end of the day, video is all about storytelling. And to tell your story right, you need a team that gets you — not just technically, but culturally too.
If you’ve got a project in mind and want to chat with a Calgary team that’s hands-on, no BS, and genuinely into helping you look good on screen — reach out anytime.
Cheers,
Sergey
